Location Ano Meria Folegandros
Upon arrival at the island’s port Karavostasi, the route towards the traditional residences ends up at the Taxiarchis village in Ano Meria at the edge of Folegandros island.
The residences are located 9 km from the port, 6 km from Chora and 3 km from the crossroad of the famous Agali beach.
Perched on the edge of the well-known Ano Meria village, the cozy lodges command breathtaking views of the beautiful countryside, the nearby traditional gardens and the Aegean sea. In addition, guests may enjoy a short minute walk to the settlement’s local market and nearby restaurants.
Easy and short access to the beaches allows the guests to visit either the north (Lygaria, Agios Georgios, Serfiotiko, Voreina) or the south coasts (Agali, Agios Nikolaos, Galifos, Livadaki, Ampeli).
For hiking lovers, the rewarding trails of the area offer them the unique feeling of the untouched landscape. The experience is completed while ending up at one of the beautiful beaches.
Lygaria (2.8 km)
Lygaria is a small quiet sandy beach 35 min away on the northern side of Folegandros. Keep in mind to take food, water and umbrellas since the beach is not organised and without shade. [Map]
Agios Georgios (2.4 km)
The beach of Agios Georgios is located 34 minutes away under the homonymous church on the northern part of Folegandros. The beach is sandy with rocks and has a few tamarisk trees for shade at the back of the beach. It is not organised so keep in mind to take food and water. [Map]
Serfiotiko (2 km)
Within 50 min distance, Serfiotiko beach is located on the island’s northeastern side. The isolated inaccessible deserted beach has pebbles with seaweeds and some tamarisk trees for shade. Keep in mind to take food and water. [Map]
Abeli (2.2 km)
The secluded Abeli beach is 31 min away, a small rocky cove situated on the northwestern side of Folegandros. You will find shade in the nearby tamarisk trees, terraces or rocks. Keep in mind to take food and water. [Map]
Aspropounta Lighthouse (2.5 km)
The lighthouse is situated on a rock beside the sea, just before Livadaki beach on the northwestern side of Folegandros. It is one of the 8th biggest lighthouses in the Aegean. [Map]
Livadaki (2.5 km)
Livadaki is 33 min away on the island’s northwestern side, with pebbles and flat rocks. Some trees further back from the sea could offer shade. Keep in mind to take food and water. [Map]
